Biomass Fuel Upgrading

While research and development of renewable energy technologies receive widespread attention all over the world, the improved and more efficient use of biomass-based energy resources, such as for instance the carbonizing, briquetting and gasifying of agricultural waste and other loose residues like leaves, sawdust, etc. remains under-explored. The promotion of such resource utilization could potentially gain a relatively easy acceptance among biomass-using populations, due to similarities with their traditional fuel and stove use. At the same time, by making use of these "waste" resources it is a meaningful complement to maintaining existing natural resources.
