Progress of ARECOP Regional Initiatives on Biomass Gasification for Small Scale Thermal Applications

ARECOP Regional Initiatives on Biomass Gasification for Small Scale Thermal Applications initiated pilot projects as a means to diffuse skill, knowledge and technologies on biomass gasification for small scale thermal applications in applied/practical contexts.

Four pilot projects in India, Indonesia, Lao and Nepal were selected from 7 project proposals -
from Srilanka (1), India (1), Indonesia (2), Philippines (1), Pakistan (1), Nepal (1) - submitted to ARECOP after the gasification training in Kunming in July 2006. In October 2007 the project in Lao was terminated.

This report will look at the progress of activities, at the regional level coordination, as well as at the project implementation level at the national/local level. Download report
