Seminar on High Quality Charcoal Production, April 3, 2007, Quezon City. Mr. Ronnie S. Mataga (Senior Program Officer of APPROTECH Asia), who had just attended the Regional High Quality Charcoal Training in March 2007, conducted a seminar on the production of high-quality charcoal production and wood vinegar collection at the Energy Research Development Center (ERDC) of the Philippine National Oil Corporation (PNOC). The seminar was organized in partnership with Engr. Edmundo Fajardo of PNOC-EDC. Participants of the seminar were technical staff of PNOC-ERDC, Quezon Memorial Circle Parks Foundation in Quezon City and Nayong Filipino Park Foundation in Paranque City.
Results of the Ten (10) days Technical Training on High-Quality Charcoal in Thailand and Ronnie’s personal experience in the production of charcoal using the drum-kiln were shared to the participants.
